Overview
Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; at least one day ends at 9:00pm; will work some weekends.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Psychotherapist I under the supervision of a licensed clinician, provides psychotherapeutic services for a caseload of patients with acutely complex needs.
Responsible for assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy provision to a defined caseload of patients and may also support the facilitation of groups.
Employs evidence-based psychological treatment interventions and provides case management services as needed. Services are primarily clinic-based, but some field work is expected, depending on the needs of each individual case.This position works with other team members to support access to overall services and requires registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required: 2 years of prior experience in a youth program or 2 years of prior experience working with youth.
Valid CA Driver's License and proof of insurance required for positions requiring field-based services. Excellent written and oral communication skills.Preferred:
Experience working in health care settings and with children, adolescents, and families.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required: Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Psychology with previous experience in a child, adolescent, or family mental health setting.
BLS from the American Heart Association.Registration with California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) or as an Associate MFT (AMFT).
Bilingual (English/Spanish).Pay Scale Information
$64,688.00-$116,563.00

Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
