    The Position:

    The Service Technician repairs, tests, adjusts, or installs Burford equipment at customer sites.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Provide installation and setup of new equipment at customer site
    • Read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures
    • Install and test equipment to ensure that it functions properly
    • Provide operation and maintenance training for customer
    • Perform maintenance, repairs, tests or adjustments of equipment by applying mechanical and electrical knowledge
    • Operate and test faulty equipment to analyze and diagnose malfunctions
    • Inspect components of equipment for accurate assembly and installation, or for defects
    • Examine work orders and talk to equipment operators to detect equipment issue and to determine whether mechanical or human error contributed to the problem
    • Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts
    • Perform diagnosis, repair and functional confirmation at customer site as required by service or maintenance contract
    • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems
    • Provide customers with occasional telephone support for start-up or trouble shooting
    • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.
