    Description
    Housekeeping Aide Position at McGivney Health Care Center - Carmel, IN

    • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the building interiors and exteriors
    • Regularly checks and ensures proper functioning of equipment such as sweepers, mops, fans, exhausts, vents, and screens
    • Keeps track of cleaning supplies inventory and notifies Supervisor when reordering is necessary
    • Performs daily cleaning of bathrooms, offices, lounges, hallways, and basement
    • Cleans various equipment including wheelchairs, geriatric chairs, walkers, etc.
    • Ensures resident rooms are clean including furniture, floors, and closets on a daily basis
    • Sanitizes resident beds and mattresses monthly
    • Responsible for routine cleaning of windows, screens, draperies, and curtains
    • Cleans dining areas after meals and outdoor spaces daily
    • Handles trash disposal and cleaning of trash cans
    • Addresses spillages and accidents promptly
    • Reports damages and maintenance issues in the log
    • Manages laundry including washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens
    • Maintains cleanliness of laundry area and equipment
    • Submits daily cleaning schedules to Supervisor
    • Prepares requisitions for purchasing cleaning supplies
    • Responsible for floor maintenance including buffing and finish removal

    Requirements
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to stand, sit, and lift heavy objects
    • Must pass drug screening and background checks
