Pruitt Tool & Supply, Co. is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Design Engineer at our corporate offices in Fort Smith, AR.

We are an API Q1 Quality Management Certified company and we manufacture/refurbish specialized drilling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

We are seeking candidates to provide strategic leadership to the Engineering Department by serving as a visionary with the ability to assist with day-to-day operations.

Incumbent for this position will:
Oversee the work of Design Engineers by helping them direct their work

Provide technical knowledge on matters pertaining to Engineering Principles

Ensure all designs, plans, drawings, etc. are in compliance with Q1 Quality Standards

Oversee the design and development of new products from conception through production

Utilize creative thinking skills to design/re-design equipment

Analyze test results and propose changes based on data output


Position requires:
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering

Preferred candidates will have Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degrees

Preferred candidates will have a Professional Engineer's License

10 years experience in product design

5 years experience in a supervisory/management role

Strong CAD skills

A thorough understanding of mechanical stress calculations

The ability to apply industry standards to equipment design

Strong mechanical aptitude

Strong computer skills

Candidate selected must pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
