Description

The SNT administers assistance to the department nursing personnel / physician in priority care to a designated group of patients.

Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the unit.

Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate a systematic approach to prioritizing patient/department assignments. Requires a stable emotional make-up to work and remain calm in a stressful, fast paced environment.

Second year nursing students are preferred but consideration is given to the first year students with past hospital experience, pre-med medical students and applicants with previous experience as a nursing assistant/tech.

Must have or be willing to attend basic CPR certification.
