- Preparing or reviewing pre-procurement packages.
- Actively participating in developing and managing acquisition plans.
- Preparing/researching support documentation.
- Making quality recommendations to the Contracting Officer/Grants Officer.
- Handling complex problems through resolution and validating data.
- Completing tasks needed to successfully advertise, solicit, construct, award, administer, and/or close out Government contracts or task/delivery orders.
- 10+ years of experience in planning, awarding, and administering contracts for the procurement of supplies, services, construction, or research and development for the U.S. Federal Government.
- Bachelor's degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.
- Expert knowledge of the federal acquisition life cycle, including pre-solicitation, solicitation, award, contract administration, and closeout. (cradle-to-grave contracting)
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to conduct contract work.
- Experience in preparation of the Government's Business Clearance/Pre-and Post-Negotiation position for formal contract procedures.
- Experience leading the negotiation team as the principal contract negotiator and negotiating contract equitable adjustments; etc.
- Negotiation preparation - preparation of contract modifications, development of evaluation criteria, evaluation of contract performance, contract termination, and contract closeouts.
- Market research/analysis, selection and administration of contract terms and conditions, cost, and price analysis.
- U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three or more years.
- Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application.
