Protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be part of a 60,000+ workforce that strives to make a difference every day.
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws by inspecting documents and possessions.
- Prevent and apprehend undocumented non-citizens and smugglers at or near the borders using surveillance techniques.
- Gather information from tracks, marks, and other physical evidence to determine illegal entry points for persons or contraband.
- Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using various government assets such as vehicles, horses, vessels, watercrafts etc., for accomplishment of USBP Mission).
