    • 1st shift: $24.35/hour
    • 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Flexible Overtime on Fridays as needed

    As a West Line Assembly Team Lead at Caterpillar, you will:
    • Have expertise in all assembly procedures, quality standards, and construction requirements within your designated workspace.
    • Utilize various tools available in your workspace for assembly tasks, including handling heavier components weighing over 35 lbs.
    • Undertake other relevant tasks as assigned.
    • Adhere to and implement CPS principles like 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Reduction, and Standard Work.
    • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
    • Meet deadlines efficiently.
    • Capability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
    • Act as a valuable team player.
    • Train new employees and enhance the skills of existing team members.
    • Act as a link between team members and section managers.
    • Primary contact person for queries related to employee responsibilities.
    • Handle administrative duties and potentially manage daily team PQVC metric boards.
    • Offer insights on scheduling adjustments.
    • Coordinate with leaders from various departments.
    • Rely on independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities to accomplish tasks.
    • Communicate any possible issues with build schedule, inventory, or manpower and suggest solutions to section managers.
    Basic Requirements:
    • Prior experience in assembly work.
    Physical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodation):
    • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
    • Capable of performing repetitive tasks.
    • Able to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
