- Work in a team environment with other project engineers on the detailed drainage analysis and design of urban and rural transportation projects.
- Conducts hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and drainage design per the requirements of the project and various transportation public agencies such as TxDOT.
- Lead and execute the efforts in the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the project drainage elements.
- Prepares projects specific drainage / hydraulic reports and technical memorandum.
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required from a U.S. ABET accredited school or equivalent.
- Engineer in Training license
- At least 4 years of experience working on transportation and/or water resources related projects providing drainage design, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses.
- Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
- Experience in utilizing Microstation, Geopak Drainage, OpenRoads SUDA
- Registration as Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8 and other H&H modeling tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate all drainage design phases of a project with other team disciplines.

North Texas Transportation Drainage Group is seeking to hire a mid-level Transportation Drainage / Water Resources Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in our Dallas, TX or Fort Worth offices to support our transportation projects throughout Texas.
Typical work assignments may include storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design, H&H watershed flood studies, erosion control, quantity and cost estimates, preparation of technical reports and memorandum, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications as required.
