    QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SOFTWARE ANALYST to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

    Job Summary
    QTEC Aerospace is looking for highly capable and motivated individuals.

    The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

    The chosen candidate will work as a part of a small team of developers and testers to validate performance, functionality, and the verification of requirements, as well as proactively analyze test outputs to identify and report any anomalies.

    Duties/Responsibilities
    Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
    Correct identified problems
    May be tasked with leading small development efforts and working with Systems Engineers and Architects to refine new capabilities
    Work with program-level integration, Modeling & Simulations, and Test Engineering teams to identify scenarios that can validate functionality and system performance requirements

    Minimum Education and Experience
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or related discipline with at least 3 years of related experience

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Must possess an understanding of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycles
    Experience with analysis of software tests for performance and functionality verification
    Demonstrated proficiency using MATLAB, Python, and/or Java to perform data analysis
    Ability to develop scripts and programs to assist with analysis in Java, MATLAB, Python, etc.
    Ability to analyze output from complex algorithms to determine if they are operating correctly
    Ability to document findings, COAs and recommendations and present to stakeholders
    Ability to identify bugs, coordinate resolution and SW build execution
    Experience working in the missile defense domain, including engagement management, sensor management, algorithm development, etc.
    A proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
    A proven track record of multi-tasking, context shifting, and time management across multiple priorities
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
    Self-motivated and customer-oriented

    Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or related discipline is highly desirable
    Working knowledge of Unix/Linux
    Ability to read and understand Java, Jenkins, and Ansible
    Ability to debug and identify solutions for software that is not working correctly
    Prior experience on complex command and control systems as a SW engineer or Systems Analyst
    Experience with Sensor Resource Management, Engagement/Battle Management, and/or Agile development methodologies
    Familiarity with Atlassian tools

    Security Clearance
    Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
