    Job Description


    American Traveler is seeking a Med Surg RN with at least 6 months of experience, an active OK or compact RN license, and required certifications for a 12-hour day shift position.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in a hospital Med Surg unit
    • Shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00am to 7:00pm
    • Day shifts with weekend coverage as needed
    • No on-call requirements
    • Cares for a diverse patient population including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
    • Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans by assessment and nursing diagnosis
    • Coordinate and provide leadership within interdisciplinary patient care teams
    • Must work cooperatively with ancillary staff and uphold professional nursing standards
    • Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
    • Local candidates are considered at a reduced rate

    Requirements

    • Active OK or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
    • Minimum 6 months of recent Med Surg nursing experience
    • Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
