    Description

    Seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join two middle school SBHCs in Yancey County, NC.

  • Care team includes an RN, a Clinical Social Worker, and a board-certified Family Medicine Physician specializing in adolescent health.
  • Provides acute, well adolescent, and chronic care for students and staff, including telehealth. During vacations, rotates through additional practices.
  • Ideal candidate enjoys adolescent health, works well in a multidisciplinary team, and has experience with behavioral health, depression, and anxiety management.
  • Performs direct patient care, adheres to evidence-based guidelines, participates in quality improvement, and provides culturally sensitive, age-appropriate care.
  • Maintains privacy, follows policies, and supports high-quality rural primary care through a team-based approach.
  • Must hold an active NC license, be board certified, and have completed an accredited PA or NP program.
