What are we looking for in our Enterprise Data Architect?
Location: Remote
Expected Duration: 2- 3 months
Pay Range: $90 to $95 an hour (Depending upon the experience)
Responsibilities:
Data strategy - enterprise data architecture, current gap in skills. Bring in expert, layout approach of how to build enterprise data model and walk team through how to do it, transition out after 2-3 months.
Strategic role, interface with business, strong communication skills, understanding company strategy and how does that translate to the environment.
Blueprint for organization and how that data talks to each other.
Gathering requirements, data discovery, data modeling standardization/documentation, validation and iteration = pressure testing, walking through scenarios, getting feedback from business, integrating into existing business (this final piece likely to be done by internal team, not contractor).
Data modeling and design, core skill set of data architect, background creating databases and applications, creating an enterprise data model in a banking environment would be ideal 'DAMA/TOGAF' certifications preferred, FDX is industry standard models.
More seasoned professional, 10+ years of experience (might have been a data eng or app dev at some point and grew in responsibility).
Enterprise data architect: These data architects oversee an organization's overall data architecture, defining data architecture strategy and designing and implementing architectures.
10+ years of experience, banking industry preferred, DAMA/TOGAF certifications preferred
