    Assistant Manager Core Values:

    • Guides team members and Shift Leaders to ensure completion of all assigned duties and the provision of safe, high-quality food in a friendly manner
    • Efficiently schedules and organizes the Team, monitoring each Team Member's performance and holding them responsible for standards and expectations.
    • Upholds a quality customer experience by facilitating fast and friendly service
    • Maintains the point of sale system by reporting any system failures and confirming download accuracy (e.g., pricing updates, menu changes).
    • Ensures adherence to health and safety standards
    • Complies with all local, state, and federal laws and guidelines.

    • Fosters solidarity within the team by fostering cross-functional relationships
    • Addresses Team Member queries and handles employee concerns promptly
    • Creates a secure environment for team members to work and customers to visit

    • Represents Border Foods in addressing customer complaints and issues with a genuine approach and a commitment to finding viable solutions.

    Excellence:

    • Strategically plans short-term and long-term strategies for restaurant success
    • Drives profitability by leveraging and interpreting the P&L to make necessary financial adjustments
    • Sources, recruits, and cultivates exceptional Team Members
    • Conducts New Hire orientation and devises a training plan for each new recruit
    • Minimizes losses by strictly following cash handling policies, adequately training Team Members, and complying with all accounting/banking requirements.
    • Demonstrates effective labor control, inventory management, and waste control.

    Empowerment:

    • Enhances the capabilities of the team
    • Provides learning and development opportunities for all Team Members.
    • Offers guidance to Team Members
    • Demonstrates consistent and timely coaching abilities
    • Mentors others operationally through the application of tools.

    Required or Preferred Experience:

    • At least three years of restaurant or retail experience, or a combination of experience and education
    • Experience in boosting sales, understanding P&L statements, recruiting, and training
    • Proven track record of successful recruitment and retention
    • May need to work early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and some holidays as required. Schedules may vary
    • ServeSafe Certification
    • Minimum age of 18
    • Valid Driver's license and vehicle insurance
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    Physical Requirements:

    The physical demands for this role include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving periodically during work hours. These physical tasks can be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation.
