Summary/Objective
The Mechanical Engineer - P.E. position leads the mechanical engineering efforts on a project and within the engineering department. This position provides technical leadership to clients and personnel.
Essential Functions

Perform the necessary calculations to size equipment, design pressure vessels, and design process skids.
Perform mechanical and piping designs.
Assist the design department in generating, reviewing, and approving P&IDs, PFDs, and fabrication drawings.
Participate in project design review meetings.
Assist with evaluating project documents, including bids, manpower estimates, etc.
Review drawings produced by the design department.
Plan project engineering resources to ensure efficient project execution, consistent with quality, safety, budget, and schedule requirements.
Ensure that complete project definition and client requirements are communicated to appropriate members of the engineering team.
Assist with sales presentations as needed.
Interface with client representatives; understand client requirements, specifications, industry standards, and expectations; ensure client satisfaction.
Establish work priorities consistent with project objectives and resolve issues between engineering work groups.
Monitor design quality and fabrication accuracy.
Work with project managers to take corrective actions to ensure project requirements are met.
Ensure that engineering changes are managed, and change control procedures are followed.
Ensure non-conformance, corrective action, and preventative action procedures are followed.
Review and stamp designs and drawings for regulatory compliance and accuracy.

Lead, direct, and check project engineering and designs to ensure drawing packages meet calculated requirements and conform to industry standards for procurement, installation, commissioning, and support requirements.
