- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring goals are tailored to each students unique abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide inclusive educational experiences for all students.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning styles and needs of students with disabilities.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to engage students and promote academic growth.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and behavior, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and other stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes independence, self-advocacy, and social-emotional development.
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Alabama teaching certificate in Special Education.
- Experience working with middle school students with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
