We are a growing organization focused on operational excellence, financial discipline, and continued expansion. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our accounting and financial operations.
Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling restaurant sales, and managing vendor payments. This role plays a key part in ensuring the financial accuracy and efficiency of the restaurant group.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including vendor invoices for food, beverages, supplies, and operational expenses
- Process accounts receivable, including catering invoices and third-party delivery platform payments
- Reconcile daily POS sales, including cash, credit card, and online transactions
- Perform bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations
- Prepare and verify bank deposits and reconcile cash balances
- Maintain petty cash accounts and supporting documentation
- Monitor and reconcile operating expenses, including food costs, labor costs, and overhead
- Maintain organized accounting records and filing systems
- Assist with payroll support, including timekeeping and labor reconciliation
- Review and reconcile marketing and advertising expenses
- Assist management with financial reporting, expense tracking, and cost analysis
- Perform general accounting and administrative support duties as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (restaurant or hospitality experience preferred)
- Experience with POS systems and merchant processors preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Reliable transportation required
