    General Purpose and Scope of Position:
    \r
    \t\r
    \t\tWilbur-Ellis is seeking a motivated and experienced Agricultural Sales Agronomist responsible for managing existing accounts and attracting new customers within a defined sales territory. This position will assist customers with the proper product selection and use of products based on specific agronomic needs. The Agricultural Sales Agronomist will maintain and develop profitable customer relationships while becoming the market leader within the defined sales geography.\r

    \t\t\tAbility to travel by vehicle or commercial transportation to other branches, meeting locations, or customer farms\r

    \t\t\tAbility to work for long periods of time while standing\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs. safely and easily\r

    Key Personal Attributes Include:

    \t\t\tBachelor's degree or higher in Agriculture or Business-related field is preferred\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tThree to five years' experience in the Agricultural industry (preferred)\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tPCA License required\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tGood interpersonal and team building skills with a positive attitude\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tExcellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with small and large groups\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tDetailed and accurate\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tWillingness to travel up to 25% of the time\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tPhysically able to endure outdoor climates including hot or cold weather extremes\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tWillingness and desire to embrace technology to add value to service offering for customers\r
    \t\r
    \t\r
    \t\t \r

    Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include :
    \r
    \t\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tManage existing customer base\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tIdentify new key customers, understand their business, determine their needs, and develop plans and actions for sales territory growth\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tCommunicate with branch management the initiatives, objectives, strategies, and action plans\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tServe as point person to manage the support resources of the territory including value-added nutrition, branded products, seed, purchasing, and technology while overseeing the implementation and success of the plans and objectives in conjunction with branch personnel\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tResponsible for sales territory budgeting, forecasting, and analysis\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tFollow credit policies and manage risk for the company\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tDevelop annual business plans that optimize growth and profitability for the territory\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tImplement marketing and sales plans\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tEstablish and meet sales goals\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tNetwork with industry representatives to expand sales opportunities\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tBuild product and market knowledge to add understanding and credibility\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tSupport other team members to attain branch and performance goals\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tProactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance skill set and knowledge base\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tBecome primary contact between customers and Wilbur-Ellis Company including deliveries, forecasting, credit, complaint handling, custom application,\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tPresent a professional image to our customers in all interactions (verbal, computer and face-to-face) through personal appearance and overall demeanor\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tPerform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner\r

    Compensations and Benefits:
    \r

    \t\r
    \t\t\r
    \t\t\tIn compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $77,500 - $103,300. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits. \r
