    Job Description

    You have the chance to contribute to the San Francisco community by joining the team at San Francisco Health Plan as a full-time Claims Examiner.

    The main responsibilities of this role include claims processing, adjudication, and research while staying updated on claim processing procedures. Your role will involve maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness in your work, as well as supporting Claims Management with special projects when necessary.

    Salary: $32.26/hour

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Keep the department's claim inventory current and clear edit queues efficiently.
    • Utilize the claims processing module effectively.
    • Meet production and quality standards consistently.
    • Handle call tracking tickets promptly.
    • Stay informed about changes in regulations and policies.
    • Promote a diverse and inclusive environment.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    • Minimum of one year experience in medical claims processing.
    • Proficiency in using claims processing systems.
    • Knowledge of medical coding and terminology.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and organizational abilities.
    • Proficiency in PC skills and MS Office.
