    Senior Corporate Accountant - Boston, MA - Hedge Fund


    A leading Boston based fixed income Hedge Fund with over 80B in AUM is looking to hire a Senior Corporate Accountant to their growing team.

    This position provides an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to focus on the credit, private debt funds and gain additional experience to all of the other investment products as well as gain greater experience in providing executive management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.

    The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President, Finance.


    Responsibilities:
    Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

    Play a key role in the performance of the monthly, quarterly and annual close processPrepare and record daily accounting journal entries to capture cash activityPrepare monthly bank account reconciliationsPrepare balance sheet account analysisPrepare periodic financial analyses and research results that differ from expectationsAssist in the preparation of quarterly financial results to executive managementAssist in the preparation of budget to actual analysisAssist in the preparation of quarterly forecastsAd hoc requests from the Vice PresidentInteract effectively and liaise with multiple groups within the Firm


    Qualifications:
    The successful candidate will ideally possess

    3-5+ years of experiencePublic accounting background with minimum of 2 years ("Big 4" firm preferred) or experience working in the management company in the financial services industryCPA preferredExperience with or working knowledge of accounting systemsAn entrepreneurial spirit who takes the initiative and works well independentlyAbility to take ownership and responsibility of work product and meet deadlinesAbility to recognize issues and solve problemsStrong communication skillsProficient knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint


    This role is a full time hybrid opportunity (3 days in 2 at home) that will offer up to 110K on a base salary, bonus, and outstanding benefits.
