    • The 24-bed medical and surgical ICU cares for a variety of patient populations that will challenge your nursing skills.

      Trauma, neuro and neurosurgery, general and vascular surgery, cardiac interventional and cardiothoracic, and acute medical conditions are just a few of the areas you will manage.

      If you have a passion for critical care, this is the unit for you RN uses clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.

      RN assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications and promotes optimal level of health.

      RN is accountable for integrating care within scope of practice licensure, relevant education and experience. RN reports to shift Team Leader and is accountable to the Department Manager. RN utilizes Policies and Procedures to guide job duties. Level specific criteria are evaluated annually and can be found in the MNM RN Clinical Ladder. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
    • Clinical Expertise: Collaborates with other members of the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized written plan of care based upon a physiological, psychosocial, spiritual assessment consistent with patient/significant other's changing needs & goals, utilizing the Clinical Practice Model (CPM) and the "Caring-Quality Model."
    • Knowledge: Seeks life-long learning through certification, advanced practice, higher education, and literature review.
    • Leadership/Credibility: Demonstrates leadership through sharing of knowledge, being a clinical resource, and professional role model.
    • Communication: Demonstrates effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication.
    • Productivity: Demonstrates enhanced time management skills and ability to assist others in order to contribute to overall performance of the team.
    • Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed by general and unit-specific competency-based objectives. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
    • License to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
    • Must be BLS certified. QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
    • Bachelor's in Nursing degree preferred
