- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience in medical device design is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of circuit board layout, design, and manufacturing (both with digital and analog electronics), documentation, and testing in the RF range both low level and high-power signals up to several hundred watts.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, function generators, network analyzers, impedance analyzers, and power meters.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical assemblies: power, cabling, signaling, interfacing, RF, and shielding.
- Extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies: servo motors, stepper motors, and actuators.
- Microcontroller use design and programming experience Preferred.
- Multi-layer circuit design, schematic capture, prototyping.
- Altium experience desired.
- Design work under ISO 13485 a plus.
- Provide technical support for existing and new products, developing solutions primarily of an electrical/circuit nature.
- Research and implement the replacement of end-of-life components, sustaining current product design intents.
- Participate in the design of new products, systems, and sub-systems.
- Generate test protocols and reports, executing product testing within our laboratory.
- Project planning and execution, interfacing with all functional areas affected by products.
- Maintain Design History Files and Technical File Documentation.
- Lead and assist with issues related to CAPAs, customer complaints, and manufacturing processes.
- Present project status to stakeholders, management, and teams.
- Assist manufacturing with testing and troubleshooting during startup of manufacturing.
- Provide direction and/or support to other Engineers.
- Serve as mentor and advisor to junior members of the Engineering Operations Team.
- Drive new technology to improve productivity and efficiency.
