- Ensure all contracts are compliant with WIOA NJDOL and local area policies.
- Maintain electronic files on all clients, ensuring WIOA documentation and reporting compliance.
- Confirm employer eligibility for funding support.
- Review employer training plans to determine funding support
- Establish relationships with area businesses, community partners, educational institutions, professional organizations, and NJDOL business partners.
- Maintain employer database utilizing Salesforce CRM.
- Engage in outreach activities and attend events to promote business support services.
- Deliver presentations to inform businesses about On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and Incumbent Worker Training (IWT).
- Collaborate with Employment and Training Service's Career Development and Business Specialist to recruit and engage OJT and IWT employers and to confirm OJT candidate eligibility
- Maintain monthly contact with Employment and Training Service's Career Development and Business Specialist to review client monitoring reports to ensure successful client and employee progress through training
- Expand committee guests and membership
- Market services to businesses and job seekers
- Educate businesses on apprenticeship opportunities
- Collaborate with NJDOL Business Service team to determine employer eligibility for services, refer employer recruitment needs and participate as needed in job fairs.
- Ensure document sharing for fiscal processing
- Represent the WDB at meetings and functions as needed (includes early morning/evenings)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in business development, client relations. Experience with grants and apprenticeship programs is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License. Position may require the use of one's vehicle.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exemplifies solid communications and listening skills.
- Highly organized self-starter who is comfortable managing time priorities and is eager to learn.
- Demonstrates professionalism and collaborates effectively.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations with confidence.
- High level of proficiency using all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of video conferencing and electronic signature platforms.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of State IWT and OJT policies and guidelines pertaining to employer eligibility is a plus.
- Experience working with apprenticeship programs and NJD
