The National Security & Space Sector of SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Principal to support a transformational infrastructure program for DCSA.
SAIC is proud to be supporting DCSA in safeguarding our nation's information. DCSA is the designated oversight authority on the accreditation of classified facilities, information systems, and the insider threat program.This involves security oversight of more than 10,000 companies and approximately 13,000 facilities involved in classified work throughout the DoD and 31 Federal agencies.
Specifically, on the DCSA One IT program, SAIC will provide an enterprise IT solution that delivers highly secured and adaptable IT infrastructure, provides customer support, and cutting-edge technologies that support operations and advance the DCSA mission under a single IT environment (i.e., One IT).
Provides systems engineering and administration support to design, development, enhancement, optimization, configuration, migration, troubleshooting, and testing of applications as part of overall sustainment and O&M efforts for all of the customer's planned and existing portfolio of applications IAW DoD OCIO policies, procedures, and data standards.
Provides systems engineering, system mapping, and other technical services required to design, model, test, pilot, and implement the systems and infrastructure needed to deliver application sustainment and O&M services, IAW established architectures and security standards.
Employs a holistic approach to engineering the collective application portfolio sustainment, O&M, and development effort using impactful technology solutions and best practices including risk management, control procedures, and lessons learned.
Researches and evaluates new cross-domain technologies and information management trends, initiating vendor engagements, when necessary, to chart potential technology and trend insertions to shape and expand the customer's applications capability.
Analyzes technical impacts to the baseline, and ensures technology insertion fit for purpose, compliance, and interoperability across functions within the enterprise to include cyber security and information protection, infrastructure, cloud, and software systems.
Supports preparing test environments and all test reviews (including TRR, PTAR, and PRR), as well as planning, executing, and documenting all internal and IV&V testing.
Develops work and engineering plans, BOMs, estimates, site integration technical design packages, configuration documents, and other procedures and reports, such as application sustainment plans and production readiness documentation, as well as templates for deliverable artifacts, forms, and checklists.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS with 9 or more years of experience
TS (SCI Eligible) and Secret
Sec+ certification
Experience working in on-prem/virtual/hybrid environments
Experience/certification in Microsoft server operating system/administration
Experience/certification in Microsoft Exchange
Experience installing/configuring/maintaining applications in a Microsoft environment
Desired Qualifications:
Experience installing/configuring/maintaining Linux OS and applications
SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
