    Quality Engineer is responsible for product quality on assigned programs to ensure that customer contract requirements are fulfilled.
    Duties & Responsibilities

    Review of customer contracts, Statements of Work, Purchase Order Quality Clauses, drawings and specifications
    Review and approval of quality requirements for Manufacturing Planning and Supplier Purchase Orders
    Point of contact for assigned customer's audits, quality enquires, and SCAR's
    Participate in QMS process management
    Perform numerous RMA tasks
    Drive process and product improvement, working with Engineering and Operations
    Analyze COPQ data (rework, scrap, warranty) to identify opportunities for improvement
    Meet established quality objectives and metrics
    Perform Internal Audits
    Familiar with First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102
    Assist with driving Root Cause Corrective Action of failures and defects
    Comply with and ensure department compliance with all Company policies and procedures
    Perform other related duties as assigned

    The Individual


    Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Experienced with use of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, and configuration control of documents
    Experienced with Configuration Control Board (CCB), review of ECOs, drawings, source control specifications, test plans & reports
    Good working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

    Experienced with practices associated with ISO 9001:2015 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems preferred
    Experienced with investigation of non-conformances and continuous improvement techniques, e.g., RCCA, 8D, 5-Why, PFMEA
    Experienced in First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation IAW AS9102
    Experience with a diverse set of manufacturing and assembly processes, e.g. PCB manufacturing, motors and encoders, conformal coating, IPC soldering, plating, painting, electro-mechanical assembly, test and inspection, preferred.
    Familiar with typical ERP business system software
    Proficient in MS Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and other CRM tools
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be a self-starter, adaptable, and high motivation for excellence
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    Ability to work independently
    Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment
    High energy, results oriented, self-motivated/self-reliant, team player
    Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with an organization and customers at all levels

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; or equivalency experience.

    Experience:
    Minimum six (6) plus years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 quality systems a plus.

    Security:
    U.S. Person required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). May be required to obtain a security clearance.
