    Description

    YUKEVICH l CAVANAUGH is seeking an Asbestos Paralegal with strong organizational skills to provide high level support in a fast-paced environment. This role can be remote or located in our Walnut Creek or Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys by providing support on multiple asbestos cases at various stages of the litigation process.

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Schedule: 8 Hour work day Monday - Friday

    Essential Functions

    Draft routine legal documents.

    Manage multiple cases from start to trail

    Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize medical records.

    Assist with the preparation of depositions, including gathering and organizing exhibits

    Assist with trial preparation, pretrial documents including exhibit and witness lists, manage exhibits, and any other duties associated with trial.

    Assist during trial and conduct various document searches and research.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum five years of asbestos litigation experience is required.

    Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

    Excellent oral, organization, and written communication skills.

    Ability to interact with attorneys, staff, and clients in a professional manner.

    Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work within established deadlines.

    Ability to thrive in a team environment and provide additional support as needed.

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. A Paralegal Certificate is required.

    Excellent writing and communication skills are required.

    Ability to manage time and priorities in a deadline-driven, fast paced department.

    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask.

    Technology savvy and willing to learn new systems.

    Highly responsive and able work on evenings and weekends when needed to support the department and the Firm's needs.

    Compensation

    The anticipated salary range for this position is listed below. The compensation may also include a year-end discretionary bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other qualifications specific to the role.

    $80,000.00+
