    The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops products to protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) and associated technologies.

    Summary Description:

    ZOLL Medical Corporation seeks a Patient Service Representative (PSR) in an independent contractor role to train patients on the use and care of LifeVest .

    LifeVest is worn by patients at risk for sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), providing protection during their changing condition. It is lightweight and easy to wear, allowing patients to return to daily activities while having peace of mind.

    This opportunity is ideal for healthcare professionals with patient care and teaching experience seeking to supplement their income.

    A typical LifeVest patient is hospitalized awaiting discharge, and the Patient Service Representative sets up equipment and trains patients and caregivers on device use and care. Follow-up is provided as needed to ensure patient understanding and satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    • Contact caregivers and family members to schedule services
    • Accept assignments that may include daytime, evenings, and/or weekends
    • Travel to patients' homes and healthcare facilities to provide services
    • Train patients and other caregivers in LifeVest use
    • Program LifeVest according to prescribing physician's orders
    • Measure patients and determine correct garment size
    • Review paperwork with patients and have them sign applicable documents
    • Transmit signed documents to ZOLL within 24 hours
    • Manage device and garment inventory
    • Disclose family relationships with potential referral sources

    Qualifications:

    • At least 1 year of patient care experience in a paid professional environment (not family caregiver)
    • Patient experience must be documented on resume
    • Background check completion
    • Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
    • Valid driver's license and car insurance or state ID
    • Annual $30 DME fee deduction from completed Work Order
    • Additional vendor credentialing costs (e.g., RepTrax) if required geographically
