    LabCorp is on the lookout for a Lab Assistant in Seattle, WA!

    Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with alternating weekends from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

    Work Location: First Hill Hospital; 747 Broadway; Seattle WA 98122

    Pay Range: $20.07- $28.52, Plus Shift differential.

    Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333 hours of sick leave for each hour of work).

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
    • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
    • Scan and/or enter specimen and patient details
    • Ensure proper functioning of lab equipment and do minor maintenance checks
    • Address and resolve specimen-related issues
    • Replenish test bench supplies when necessary
    • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment
    • Complete record logs and other administrative tasks as required
    • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for safety and quality assurance

    Job Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Prior experience in medical/lab or production settings is preferred
    • Comfortable working with biological specimens 
    • Able to accurately identify specimens 
    • Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
    • Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and meeting deadlines
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
    • Required to pass a standardized color blindness test
    • Flexibility to work overtime when needed
