    Who We Want:
    A Systems Administrator will be responsible for administering and maintaining server applications on Windows Server and LINUX platforms.

    In addition, they will assist the Systems Team in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Azure, Backup/DR and Microsoft System Center functionality.

    Along with acting as the first point of escalation from the Help Desk to the Systems Team. Key areas will also include problem solving and collaboration in developing significant strategies around innovation for the business.

    What You'll Do:
    Execution of systems administration-related tasks to support various project and operational needs
    Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
    Install and configure systems which support infrastructure and global business activities
    Maintain installation and configuration procedures, along with system standards
    Install and maintain security patches on production and development systems
    Perform daily system monitoring of virtual environment and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Including the reporting of KPI metrics on a weekly basis
    Repair and recover from hardware, software, or application failures
    Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis
    Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures. Develop documentation where need be
    Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization

    This will be a

    1st Shift M-F

    position located at our

    Plant in Walker, MI.

    What You Need to Have:
    Bachelor's Degree in a computer-related field with a minimum of 3 years IT industry experience and at least one year of system administration experience
    Strong proficiency in hardware and software server platforms
    Experience with Microsoft System Center, VMWare, AHV, Hyper-V a plus
    Experience with Dell/EMC and HP server platforms a plus
    Experience with Nutanix or other Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) platforms a plus
    Capable of troubleshooting common datacenter connectivity issues and hardware related failures
    Familiar with tools that can aid with profiling and optimizing server resource usage
    Knowledge of ITIL process and procedures
    Must have good problem solving and analytical skills to resolve complex tactical, technical, and business-related issues
    Must have great verbal and written communication skills
    Must be a team player with great customer service skills
    Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a global manufacturing environment
