Requirements
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
VIR (Vascular Interventional Radiology) certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with demonstrated competency in Interventional Radiology
Ability to work in high-acuity interventional suites and assist during IR procedures
Responsibilities
Perform high-quality radiologic imaging for diagnostic and interventional procedures in the IR suite
Prepare and instruct patients for exams; assist the Radiologist during vascular and image-guided procedures
Operate, maintain, and report issues with radiology equipment; support room turnover and workflow
Follow medication security, hospital protocols, and accurate documentation practices
Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients of all ages
Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS for image management and reporting
Participate in performance improvement activities and maintain patient confidentiality
Respond professionally to technical inquiries from physicians and clinical staff
