    POSITION SUMMARY: Provide warm personalized service, while demonstrating leadership and teamwork to bar backs and beverage servers. Bartenders will always comply with the enforce alcohol awareness laws and procedures.

    • Pick up bank and check out any necessary keys.
    • Check all liquor and condiments to ensure that the bar is ready for business.
    • Put away any beer, liquor orders that you will need for your shift.
    • Check all juices and press fresh juice daily.
    • Remove waste from trash bins and replace with clean liners as needed.
    • Polish glassware and clean bar tools throughout the evening.
    • Assist with batching cocktails.
    • Sweep up debris from floors FOH and BOH as needed.
    • Fruit should be cut on a daily basis. Any unusable fruit left over from the previous day should be discarded.
    • Stock all necessary souvenir glasses, cups, straws, napkins, etc... For daily service.
    • Wipe down bar counter and bar stools. Position stools evenly at the bar.
    • Prepare the requisition sheet once all guests and cocktail servers have left.
    • All liquor bottles must be wiped down and faced accordingly.
    • Put away all liquor and discard all unused fruit.
    • Bar should be left in immaculate condition.
    • Wipe down the bar counter tops, liquor guns, bottles and drain all wells.
    • Lock up all necessary areas.
    • Count down drawer and return bank to the Annex
    • All paperwork needs to be placed in the proper order.
    • Make sure all paperwork is dropped according to the Main Cage Policy.
    • Make sure blenders are clean.
    • Notify the Manager on Duty that you are leaving and of any problems that may need to be addressed before the start of the next day.
    • Notify a Manager IMMEDIATELY if anything is in need of servicing or repair.
    • Treat every day as if it were a HEALTH INSPECTION.
    • Workspace is to be maintained to health inspection standards.

    Service Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Working knowledge of all craft beverage products served in the venue.
    • Greet guests promptly by placing cocktail napkin before them.
    • If necessary, guide them through our drink selection.
    • Ring drinks, serve beverages onto the napkins and place the check into a Check Presenter in front of the guest.
    • Fully understand all food steps of service and menu items.
    • All guests will receive the same attention and service regardless of the check amount.
    • Pay close attention to pouring standards and avoid over pouring.
    • Every drink gets rung in and accounted for.
    • No alcohol is to be served to any staff member while on duty.
    • Maintain a clean bar top at all times.
    • Service and ring drinks for the cocktail servers in the appropriate service window.
    • Know the drink menu. Be able to speak about it, take orders and ring it in.
    • Never question a guest about a gratuity.
    • Ensure that each and every guest is treated equally in the same professional manner, enthusiastic service and politeness, regardless of race, sex, color, or age.

    Requirements:

    RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT

    • Recognize and acknowledge when Guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated
    • Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive Guests and promptly bring to a Manager's attention
    • Refuse further service of alcohol to intoxicated Guests in a courteous and safety-minded manner
    • Responsible for accurately checking Guest identification
    • Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures
    • Comply with all state and federal liquor laws

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    Required:

    • At least 1-year experience as a Bartender in a resort setting
    • At least 1-year of experience in customer service
    • Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude
    • Ability to handle cash and accurately make change
    • Ability to speak and to listen in a public forum
    • Manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment and work under pressure
    • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
    • Basic math skills
    • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Must have a Union Pour Card
    • Must have basic knowledge of wines and spirits
    • Must be willing to work outdoors in seasonal heat (100F+) or cold as well as inclement weather
    • Performs all other job-related duties as requested

    Preferred:

    • Previous experience working in a similar Hotel Casino setting
    • Minimum two (2) years' Bartender experience

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    • Alcohol Awareness
    • Food Handler's Card
    • Pour Card
