    Description

    Assessment and Modernization:
    Evaluate the current network/voice design, voice adjunct services, Avaya phone systems, SIP technology, and session border controllers. Lead efforts to modernize the existing environment.


    • Reliable Communication Systems: Ensure reliable and efficient communication systems that support critical hospital operations and patient care.
    • Security and Compliance: Prioritize security and compliance by implementing encryption, access controls, and other measures to protect data privacy (e.g., HIPAA compliance in healthcare environments).
    • Project Management: Demonstrate strong project management skills to oversee telecommunications projects.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with network engineers and low voltage lead engineers to develop comprehensive network/voice maps, enhancing infrastructure reliability and scalability.
    • Migration to SIP Trunking: Lead the migration from PRI to SIP trunking, optimizing voice services for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    Required Skills & Experience


    • Mastery of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and

    Related Protocols:
    Demonstrate expertise in VoIP technologies, including SIP, RTP, and H.323.


    • Proficiency in Managing Voice Gateways and Session Border Controllers
    • Experience w/ Unified Communications (UC)

    Platforms:
    Familiarity with UC platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya Aura, and Microsoft Teams is crucial.


    • Advanced Knowledge of SIP Technology and Avaya Phone Systems
    • Experience with

    Voice Adjunct Services:
    o SPOK

    o Valcom OH

    Nice to Have Skills & Experience


    • EHR/EMR

    System Experience:
    Epic is a major plus

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
