    Join Hasbro's Spark R&D team to help design new toys, develop unique product interactions, and explore innovative technology Our team is looking for creative, hardworking students who will bring outstanding ideas to Hasbro brands, including Hasbro Gaming, Furby, Star Wars, and more. You will have the chance to brainstorm new toy ideas, build electronic and animatronic prototypes, and take them from concept to production alongside your colleagues.

    Electrical Engineering Co-ops will be responsible for electronic schematic, programming, and gameplay design. Additional responsibilities include evaluating competitor product, providing feasibility assessments for new concepts, rapid prototyping, and programming concept/development models. Preference will be given to candidates with diverse experience, including project work or co-op experience in product design engineering, animatronics, and mechanism design.

    To enhance your experience, we offer the opportunity to participate in Hasbro's co-op design challenge. This is a chance to collaborate with other co-ops to bring an original product idea to life through prototyping, achieving development checkpoints, and presenting a completely new toy.

    What You'll Do:

    • Build and test electrical prototype boards (solder, debug)
    • Write IC programs for electronic toys in environment similar to Arduino
    • Refine product gameplays for program development
    • Identify and troubleshoot problems with development models
    • Is responsible for performing research on new technologies and evaluating competitor products
    • Design and iterate electronic schematics

    What you'll bring:

    • Programming skills and knowledge of electronic theory
    • Experience soldering and using standard electronic test equipment (e.g. multimeter, oscilloscope)
    • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
    • CAD experience in SolidWorks or OnShape (Preferred)
    • Machining familiarity (Preferred)

    Eligibility to apply:

    • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student with at least one year of completion towards a BS in Electrical Engineering or Robotics/Animatronics Engineering.
    • Must be available to work full-time as a co-op from July-December 2024
    • Must be able to commute to the Pawtucket, RI office successfully. Expect to work a hybrid model with at least 3 days in office
