    Description
    Compass for Affordable Housing (FAH) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Compass FAH serves families, singles, and seniors residing in affordable housing communities. Our services include an after-school program for resident youth. Adult support services that include health & wellness classes, financial education, job readiness assistance, etc.

    We are hiring a Part-Time Resident Service Provider to work 20-30 hours per week at two of our affordable communities in Escondido, CA, and Vista, CA. The position offers a flexible schedule Monday through Friday. Our property in Escondido, CA pays $18 an hour, and our property in Vista, CA pays $16.00 an hour. For our resident after-school program, this role will require 10 hours per week at each property. Additional hours will be allocated for assisting adult residents while on site. Compass FAH will work closely with you to provide needed materials, etc.

    Job Summary:
    • This position calls for an energetic, self-starter who will take initiative when necessary to help others.
    • You will be tasked with operating the after-school program, helping school-age children with their homework, as well as the occasional, child-friendly, activity.
    • The position will also assist with adult education events in the role of coordinator as well as performing outreach to the on-site residents.

    A successful candidate will:
    • Must be a high school graduate or possess GED equivalency.
    • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
    • Be a creative self-starter and enjoy helping others.
    • Be willing to take and pass a background check.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to promote resident services through outreach.
    • Bilingual is preferred but not mandatory.
