As a Dispatch Supervisor at Ryder, you will oversee all driver owner/operator activities, including pick-up and delivery, port interaction, governmental regulations customer service reporting continuous improvement Perform active role in dispatching and tracking of port store delivery LTL drivers Works directly with warehouse operations managers to facilitate an efficient profitable flow of product Overall responsibility for the efficient operation of the dispatch customer service brokerage maintenance divisions of the transportation department Maintain expected service outlined in customer service level agreements Minimize driver turnover Maximize revenue per truck minimize deadhead minimize turndowns Minimize excess transportation maintenance costs Maintain proficiency trends technology applicable respective transportation activities Ensure maximum communication coordination between dispatch drivers brokers customer service maintenance functions company departments Ensure compliance DOT FMCSA OSHA regulations Follow monitor port activity Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties assigned Skills And Abilities Strong knowledge trucking processes technology transportation supply chain management Excellent communication customer interaction skills Ability assess problem determine root cause work resolution team Self starter ability work independently Functional experience warehousing transportation supply chain management Flexible work schedule some evening weekend coverage required Proficient Microsoft Office products Advanced required Qualifications Two years related experience equivalent combination education experience required Proficient Microsoft Office products Advanced required Job Category Transportation
