- Participating in team treatment meetings to represent the therapeutic needs and goals of assigned patients.
- Performing psychosocial assessments on assigned geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients.
- Completes indicated treatment plans using clinical information provided through the multidisciplinary assessment process.
- Meets with patients to discuss treatment plan goals, define discharge criteria and plans, complete family sessions, and assess level of patient risk.
- Provide daily group therapy to geriatric, adult, and adolescent populations as scheduled.
- Serves as a liaison between team members and involved social service agencies and ensures a clinically appropriate aftercare plan is in place.
- Education & Licensure:
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field preferred.
- Illinois State License in social work or clinical related mental health field preferred.
- Experience:
- A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; and have strong clinical assessment skills preferred.
- Additional Skill Requirements:
- CPR certification and management of aggressive behavior training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
