The Estimating team partners with local owners, public agencies, designers, and sub-contractors to deliver legendary results for the past 110 years.

This position is based in our main San Rafael office.
The Takeoff Engineer uses an understanding of the construction building process, as well as published project plans, specifications, and computer software to quantify and report on material requirements for private and public works construction projects.
Understand and interpret construction plans, specifications and geotechnical reports for roadway, highway and bridge projects as well as residential and commercial developments.
Produce professional reports summarizing quantities.
Work with Estimators to address project specific needs to include phasing and special traffic requirements.
Download and organize electronic files. Print and bind files for estimating purposes.
Assist estimating department with subcontractor and supplier quote solicitation as needed.
Assist estimating department with bid day closeout process as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Excel, AGTEK Earthwork software, BLUEBEAM, Trimble Business Center and AutoCAD Plans
Basic understanding of civil engineering or construction management a plus
A degree or working towards a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
