    Position located at SSBO (Portland, Oregon)

    In this role, you will be a key member of the SSBO Manufacturing Engineering Team. The team focuses on providing solutions for a variety of manufacturing challenges in the aerospace industry. Some solutions we provide include equipment-based project management, critical infrastructure improvements, and technical advice pertaining to industrial equipment.

    PRINCIPAL FACILITIES ENGINEER

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Write and submit documentation for capital project funding
    • Project management of equipment procurement for production needs
    • Responsible for the specification of custom equipment when needed
    • Direct installation of equipment and processes in the manufacturing environment
    • Develop and adhere to project timetables and budgets
    • Provide after-installation equipment support and improvement
    • Oversee general construction projects
    • Create project presentation content for engineering management
    • Create and maintain 2D/3D drawings of the facility and manufacturing equipment
    • Work directly with multiple teams to successfully achieve varied goals
    • Assist other PCC engineering teams on solving equipment-based product problems
    • Use math and statistical information to prove and model plans
    • Work closely with and favorably represent PCC with customers and suppliers

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum B.S. in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
    • Minimum 3 years of project management experience
    • Experience procuring or working with industrial equipment
    • Experience managing project timelines and budgets
    • Logical and analytic approach to problem solving
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of furnaces, pressure vessels, and other related foundry equipment
    • Understanding of hydraulic systems
    • Understanding of machine design concepts
    • M.P. Certification
    • Experience supervising other engineers and/or technicians
    • Understanding of industrial OSHA/ANSI/ISO equipment and safety standards
