    JOB SUMMARY:

    This position involves outside sales responsibilities to promote the company's products and services and cultivate relationships with both new and existing accounts. The primary goal is to assist Sysco customers in succeeding while attaining the sales and profit targets set by the organization. This role may involve working non-traditional hours at times to adequately meet customer demands.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop new business, retain existing accounts, and reduce lost business to achieve profitable sales growth within the assigned region
    • Identify and assess potential leads in line with company's account stratification objectives
    • Understand customer business requirements and offer a tailored mix of products and services to fulfill those needs
    • Monitor market trends and advise customers on products based on their business objectives
    • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings to provide added value to customers
    • Address customer queries related to products, pricing, availability, and usage
    • Provide product information and training to customer staff
    • Travel to customer sites, trade shows, company meetings, etc., using personal vehicle
    • Collect outstanding payments as needed, coordinating with the credit department and clients as required
    • Ensure timely deliveries following the schedule set by the transportation department and resolve any issues that may arise during the ordering process
    • Participate in company events, promotions, customer interactions, and visits
    • Attend general sales and district meetings actively
    • Engage in continuous training sessions
    • Support in training new hires as requested
    • Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special orders, customer bids, and sales performance data
    • Handle administrative tasks like preparing sales budgets, maintaining records, processing credits, etc.
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related field OR equivalent experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Fluency in additional languages
    • Preference for experience in Restaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, or as a Chef

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

    • Valid driver's license with a clean record
    • Current automobile insurance meeting specific liability limits

    Requirement:

    • Completion of pre-employment screenings (Drug Screen, Background Check)
    • Agree to Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement
    • Local or open to relocating to the territory area
