Group is seeking an Inpatient PsychiatryUnit Chief, to oversee a 20 Bed In-Patient Unit.
Group is seeking an experiencedfull-time Adult Psychiatrist to provide high quality, patient-centered care topatients on the Psychiatric unit. Theposition assists the Dept. Chair, Clinical Operations Director of Behavioral Health,and the Nurse Manager in the discharge of Departmental duties.
The Psychiatry Unit Chief will monitor theclinical activity of house Psychiatrists to assure quality care is given, andwill supervise the staff Psychiatrists, APPs, and behavioral healthprofessionals in the department.
The unit chief will share patient load with staff psychiatrist carryinga patient load of 10. Unit Chief responsibilities include 30% administrativeduties and 70% patient care. Participation in the medical education ofresidents, medical students and physician assistant students is a component ofthe role.
Other duties include theeducation, supervision, and clinical guidance to staff on the in-patient unitand supporting departmental quality and performance improvement effort.
Sharedcall includes 24-hour in-house week-end coverage once a month (equal to twelve- thirteen 24 hour shifts a year), as well as 1 or 2 holidays a year.
