    Want to join something GREAT and make a difference?The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is looking for a Contract Specialist 2 to join the DNR Public Works and AE Contracts office.


    Responsibilities:


    The purpose of this Contract Specialist position is to provide enterprise guidance, production, and execution of contracts related to Public Works.

    This remote position reports to the Public Works Office Contracts Engineer, who reports directly to the Director of Enterprise Services.


    Required Qualifications:


    A Bachelor's degree involving major study in public administration, business administration, business law, commerce, economics, mathematics, statistics, or closely allied field AND Two years of experience in negotiating, developing, writing, and administering government contracts, contract cost or price analysis, contract compliance administration, or related experience.

    OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

    Knowledge of Washington State and federal laws and regulations governing contracts and agreements, contract principles, theory and application, contracts terminology and development, and contracts practices and procedures.

    Complete Intake of Contractor documentation and requirements.
    Recognize desirable contract terms and provisions and ability to identify areas and incidents of non-compliance with existing contracts.
    Ability to communicate and work closely with other departments and all staff.#J-18808-Ljbffr
