    Description
    This position is responsible for the management and successful completion of projects, including planning, staffing, implementation, control and evaluation.

    The Project Manager will lead low to moderate complexity projects with minimal assistance, and medium to large projects with additional project management support.


    Essential Functions:

    • Manages projects related to corporate marine assets and operations. This includes, but is not limited to, vessel construction and modification.
    • Defines and creates project plans considering time frame, financial limitations, staffing requirements, regulations, resource availability, and customer contractual requirements.
    • Responsible for project performance through management of the project team, vendors, contractors, regulators and others necessary for project completion.
    • Leads assigned projects by managing project teams with tasking, project planning and deliverables.
    • Ensures projects are accomplished within schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.
    • Communicates with the project's sponsor and stakeholders as needed, including regular reporting that includes forecasting through project completion.
    • Serves as the primary liaison between customers, project staff, subcontractors, vendors and internal company personnel.
    • Responsible for effective management of all project contractual requirements, including vendor and subcontractor support requirements.
    • Ensures compliance with overall Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Quality standards for the project and project deliverables.
    • Coaches, mentors, motivates and directs project team members and contractors. Influences them to take positive action and accountability for their work to ensure project progresses on schedule, within the prescribed budget, and to the required level of quality.
    • Approves status reported by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
    • Responsible for developing and modifying project plans to manage and mitigate risk based on project trend and variance analyses, including financial and other performance measures.
    • Leads project evaluation upon close-out and documentation of lessons learned are documented.

    Knowledge Of:

    • Understanding of marine asset construction and shipyard operations.
    • Understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.
    • Microsoft Project or other project management software proficiency.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio)

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Proven project management track record driving projects to completion, on schedule and to stakeholder satisfaction.
    • Ability to communicate technical/complex information to non-technical people both verbally and in writing.
    • Strong leadership qualities including diplomacy and ability to interface with cross-functional teams such as Finance, IT and Supply Chain.
    • Comfortable creating and making presentations to all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to meet budget requirements and forecast costs.
    • Excellent time management and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
    • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and accomplish work through others.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    This position generally requires a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in marine transportation, mechanical engineering, science & technology, or a related field; - 4 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Compensation:
    Pay for this position will be between $97,149 and $145,724 annually


    Incentive Compensation Plan:

    This position may eligible for an Incentive Compensation Plan bonus of up to 20% of base pay, subject to Company and individual performance and per company policy.
