    Description

    Summary:

    This position is primarily responsible for overseeing the quality control process for finished/fabricated products as well as fabric by the yard.

    This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining a formal global Quality Assurance program in partnership with the product development and production departments by performing the following duties:


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    The Goal of this position is to ensure the quality of VFF products perform to the assigned standards and provide complete customer satisfaction within the scope of the order.

    Oversees the quality control process of all products including fabricated/finished products and fabric by the yard. Maintains the established global quality assurance program, in partnership with Company Product Development and Production departments.
    Maintains Company quality standards for all products.
    Ensures products meet Company and customer Quality standards.
    Collaborates with vendors in identifying negative quality trends and repetitive defects.
    Assists in the problem-solving process.
    Submits daily, weekly, or monthly reports analyzing the overall quality of the products and vendors performance if needed.
    Monitors and assists vendors on any quality control assurance issues.
    Develops relations with new Fabricators and implements VFF Quality control/assurance.
    Communicates internal and external customer needs to the vendors.
    Initiates quarterly product testing for Standards Program.

    Inspections our product to determine if there is a need for improvement and the ability to make modifications, if necessary.

    Reviews all counter samples and creates QC audit reports of each item for Fabricators and mills.
    Provides direction of improvement, if needed.
    Submits samples to Customer Service Rep. or to the project coordinator, for customer approval after internal approval of a production sample.
    Inspects and performs audits on all Valley Forge production receipts of finished goods.
    Records inspected data for Quality Control process protocols.
    Inspects and communicates issues and audits findings on customer returns.
    Coordinates with Warehouse Manager and Quality/Testing Manager to resolve problems.
    Ensures to forward the completed QC audits to appropriate personnel with corrective measures.
    Updates and maintains database for review and suggestive improvements.
    Assists in identifying trends that may create increased risks.
    Reports quality control issues to purchasing and the vendors.
    Oversees the receipt new claims from Account Managers, Customer Care, Project Managers or directly from customers/properties.

    Reviews and Addresses claims for Hospitality and Government projects, regarding ALL product categories (Fabric, Finished Bedding, Shower/Spa Curtains, Window Treatment, etc.)Identifies quality issues and/or potential quality issues on various textiles products by investigating and reviewing the full order history.

    Communicates with vendors (domestic and overseas) regarding the causes and solutions for quality issues.
    Communicates with customers (domestic and overseas) in high pressure situations and keeps calm and composed while providing solutions.

    Manages all customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner - must be able to make people happy in any situation.

    Owns and executes inspections for Model Rooms, and other fabric by the yard textiles showing quality related issues either pre or post sales, while meeting SLA.Active in re-occurring conference calls, team huddles, and other meetings as needed.

    Initiates Salesforce Tasks, Requests, and/or Cases for testing, print, estimating, evaluation, etc.
    Performs other responsibilities as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Must be available to drive or fly to customer locations or VFF Window Treatment Facility with flexibility for occasional overnight trips to evaluate product functionality and performance concerns.

    Travel to hotel properties for claims is not frequent (less than 10%).


    Microsoft Computer Skills Required:
    Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc

    Computer Skills Preferred:
    Microsoft Office Suite, ERP System Knowledge, Project Management Software.
    Experience with Window Treatment (roller shades, roman shades, drapery) highly desired.


    Other Skills Required:
    Very strong attention to detail and quality of work particularly relating to performance criteria of product.
    Critical thinking and a customer service orientationOutgoing personality and results driven.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
