    The Procurement Specialist I will have spend segment responsibility and ownership for part of the IT/Marketing/Sales vendor category. This includes marketing, sales, IT and other corporate services. This position will work with many internal groups at VGO such as marketing, sales, IT, AP, Legal, etc. This position will contribute to vendor selection process, vendor approval and contracting for the category.

    This position will facilitate strategic sourcing through market and industry analysis, supplier segmentation and supplier research, and build effective relationships with internal business partners as well as current and future vendor partners.


    How You'll Make an Impact

    • Business Support:
    Be VGO's subject matter expert for contracting in the corporates services area. Provide information, analysis and support to the internal business teams and assist in all vendor related matters.

    • Sourcing:
    Develop sourcing strategies for all sub-categories including: 1) Assessment of business needs for internal customers; 2) Prepare RFQ's/RFP's as needed for competitive bidding;3) Analyze and evaluate bid responses, negotiate prices and other terms; 4) Manage contracting process coordinating business, vendor and legal changes. Knowledge of contracting and data privacy needed. 5) Complete all on-boarding of vendors as needed, including completion of setup documents and compliance to all safety and insurance requirements

    • Vendor Risk Mitigation:

    Ensure vendors are appropriately chosen, managed and monitored to mitigate risk associated with supply interruption, environmental liability, safety and legal liability.


    • Commercial Terms:

    Develop and execute a sourcing strategy and negotiate commercial terms to deliver optimal cost and support VGOs financial and operational objectives.


    • Supplier Relationship Management:
    Use relationship management techniques to generate maximum long-term value.

    What You'll Need

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing experience or work in a corporate environment
    • Basic knowledge of contracting and negotiating
    • Indirect Purchasing in corporate services, exposure to data privacy regulations, experience in IT/SaaS or digital advertising a plus
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills.
    • Must have the ability to multi-task, manage complex projects, data and operate very efficiently.
    • Must have excellent relationship skills, communications skills, be a great teammate, be very detail oriented and driven to succeed.
    • Exposure to data privacy issues, project management and organizational skills are a plus.
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
