    About Our Client

    Our client for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) opportunity is a privately held global industrial manufacturer and supplier serving a diverse set of customers and markets. This global organization has close to 80 locations globally including roughly 40 manufacturing facilities and 11 Engineering and R&D centers around the world. The organization has a strong history of over 60 years and continues to grow, innovate (close to 100 patents), and find ways to differentiate themselves to best meet their customers' needs. Their revenue is evenly split across the Americas, Europe and Asia.

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key leader on the executive leadership team, and be responsible for the leadership, direction, and management of the financial health of the overall organization. The CFO will report to the CEO/President and lead a total group of 65 to 75, including a direct team of 10-12 reports including the Head of HR, Head IT, General Counsel and Finance and Accounting Leadership. This is a very financially healthy and stable organization and looking for a CFO to continue driving the growth and innovation working as a strategic business partner to the President/CEO.

    Job Description

  • Provide executive leadership in the continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives and offers recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Ensure the continued financial health and success of the organization by effectively planning and managing the global financial resources
  • Manage and monitor the global entities' liabilities and investments for financial risks and determining strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
  • Providing timely and accurate analysis of budget, financial trends, and forecasts.
  • Partner with investment advisors and report to the executive management and the Board of Directors advising on the investment portfolio
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operations information to the CEO and executive management team and make recommendations on strategy and operations
  • Analyze cash flow, forecasting, debt need and rate management, foreign exchange management, cost controls, and all financials to identify areas of improvement
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all accounting and finance team members at headquarters and multi plant locations, R&D centers, and sales offices globally
  • Actively participate in Executive Management Team meetings; provide updates relating to Financials and other areas of responsibility.
  • Establish and report against KPIs for the business
  • Responsible for preparing the annual 3-year and 5-year business plan
  • Oversee tax group and ensuring tax reports and filings are completed, 401K plant administration for the US, US payroll, and global profit sharing calculations
  • Oversees the organization's risk management including establishing and improving internal controls and procedures
  • Personnel evaluation and/or development of a strong accounting and finance team
  • Evaluate strategic growth opportunities through expansion and/or M&A (mergers and acquisitions)
  • Oversee IT, Legal, HR partnering with all groups on strategic initiatives and business decisions
  • Ensure all goals and objectives are clearly communicated with all team members and executive staff and expectations are clear and effectively communicate when changes occur
  • Demonstrate and lead by example maintaining a professional environment driving a collaborative and open door policy with a positive mindset and mentality

    The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • CPA required
  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in finance and accounting/controllership roles within manufacturing sector
  • Minimum 7 years of experience is a Sr. Financial Leadership position in a global environment
  • Ability and proven track record working with various departments - sales, finance, accounting, HR, engineering, manufacturing, IT, legal.
  • Prior experience leading HR, IT, Legal, Risk Management, highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of audit, tax, treasury, and accounting and controllership
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications and products, business intelligence systems
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with large ERP systems
  • Business minded and strong team player mentality
