    Job Description SummaryThe Payment Processes Analyst effectively manages a portfolio of credit card processor merchant accounts for a portfolio of 250+ managed hotels across the US and Canada, ensuring that the locations have seamless access to effectively collect funds onsite from customers in a simple and efficient fashion.

    This role reports directly the Manager, Global Payment Processes, and supports the organization in providing a robust selection of gifting, paying, and financing options; to securely process $2B+ in annual transaction volume, and to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraud.

    Job DescriptionManaging internal team member access to credit card processor payments, merchant and chargeback portals, for individual hotel locations and multi-site corporate accountsEnsuring access level is appropriately granted based on job functionEnsuring team member terminations are properly actioned to remove accessSupport any training for new credit card processor reporting and interface platform to hotel teamsEnsuring that the master list of all merchant identification numbers is continuously up to dateWorking with internal team members and credit card processors on closing inactive accountsSupporting treasury department in setup of new MIDsDay-to-day 4-way card settlement reconciliations for 170+ limited-service managed hotel portfolioEffectively use automations built to identify day-to-day variances on approximately 250+ merchant ID accounts daily, updating and enhancing automations as needed over timeResearching daily identified variances to resolution, with any unresolved items being escalated and reported out to shared service & hotel management within 5 business daysMaintain adequate reconciliation documentation for 3rd party external auditors to properly trace reservation to cash for all relevant card paymentsSupporting communications on operational best practices to reduce reconciliation variancesSharing reconciliation best practices with full-service managed portfolio internal team members that have card settlement reconciliation dutiesSupport the Manager, Global Payment Processes in ad hoc and regular reporting and audit requests to internal and external stakeholder in various payment related areas, including but not limited to:Credit card processing costs/ feesCo-branded credit card performance and statisticsCredit card processor internal and external support ticketsFraud activities/ chargeback dataSettlement statisticsGift card metrics/ activitiesOther ad hoc payment-related duties as assignedKey Competencies RequiredTechnical:Strong Excel skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong knowledge of banking and payment platforms and reportingStrong organizational & presentation skillsBehavioral (Do the Right Thing)Model expected behaviorFocus on an excellent customer experienceTreat each other with respectCommit to the teamBe authentic and realCommunicate openly, honestly and clearlyBehavioral (Go Beyond)Exceed expectationsHold yourself and others accountableContinuously improveDig deeper and find ways to succeedBe innovative when problem solvingQualifications and Skills A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support their competency.2+ years' experience in credit card reconciliations for an enterprise level multi-business unit portfolio, preferably in hospitality or retailA solid understanding of automation technologies and their intersection with reducing manual reconciliation workA solid understanding of financial services/payments technology and platformsStrong problem-solving skills and comfort getting deep into the data; experience providing data-driven insightsComfort in drawing conclusions from data and making recommendations based on imperfect information; High proficiency in Excel, SQL, or other analytical tools preferredEffective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to leverage data from a multitude of sources to support telling a compelling story"Get stuff done" attitude - willingness to roll up your sleeves and engage deeply with analysts and managers, across multiple teams and agendas, to accomplish what needs to be doneA desire to effect change and an openness to innovation within a highly collaborative team environmentAdditional Job Information/Anticipated Pay Range$22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
