Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, self-starting estate and trust attorney with a vision, initiative and demonstrated commitment to guiding clients through wealth transitions with estate planning that is clear, creative, and enduring.Estate Planning: Familiarity with estate planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with complex family structures and complex assets. Structuring charitable organizations and foundations, structuring major and planned gifts, ensuring compliance. Foundational (revocable) estate planning for clients from start to finish; including the initial interview, plan design drafting review discussion execution follow up exposure to irrevocable trusts CRUTs GRATs IDGTs ILITs QPRTs previous gift estate generation-skipping transfer GST tax skills engaging ultra-high net worth clients designing implementing complex estate freeze charitable planning technical precision preparing reviewing gift tax returns independently running post-mortem trust administration expertly advising fiduciaries keeping them ahead milestones avoiding pitfalls surprises efficiently shepherding distribution assets beneficiaries contributing team profile undertaking business development activities establish develop maintain long-term relationships writing articles/posts attending events/conferences building networks private wealth contacts/intermediaries global peer firms counsel.
