    Job Summary

    The Senior Director Supply Chain Performance Systems will lead and direct the implementation and execution of the NAPA DC Operations Performance System in the Supply Chain Network. This position is responsible for developing and providing strategy, vision and direction for the NAPA Performance System as it is implemented in every distribution center to support the overall Supply Chain and Ops Excellence Strategy. Working with HQ support partners and DC operators the person will design, define and deploy a strategic roadmap for the performance system across the DC Network. They will implement processes and procedures, communicate goals, monitor performance and provide feedback.

    The position will report to VP of Operations Excellence and support the DC Operations team. The SD Supply Chain Performance Systems role will be based out of USAG headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

    Responsibilities
    • Design, define and deploy a strategic roadmap for the Performance System implementation across the DC Network
    • Align the roadmap to the business strategic needs ensuring that the components and sequencing are leveraged to transform the ways of working while delivering the results for business success
    • Apply the methodologies of operational excellence (including: safety and ergonomic design, visual controls, root cause analysis, zero loss analytics, 5S, standardized work, work design, value stream mapping, early equipment management, daily team maintenance, preventative maintenance, training methodology, change management, etc.) to create a holistic performance system focused on engaging, enabling and empowering all team members to identify and reduce losses.
    • Design the implementation and change management plan, with proper sequencing of programs, locations, and management systems to embed the performance system into the standard ways of working.
    • Develop the appropriate training materials and delivery methods of the performance system to enable the organization to follow a standardized method across all sites
    • Build a team of Performance System talent within the organization to accelerate and sustain the program with an ongoing continuous improvement mindset.
    • Establish the necessary assessment and processes to measure progress of the deployment of programs and the necessary review and response process to address opportunities for improvement and share best practices
    • Leverage operational excellence to be a business partner with operations leadership through strategy and policy deployment through the necessary review tiers in the organization to align the work to the strategic plans while engaging, enabling, and empowering all organizational levels to achieve continuous improvement.
    • Develop, plan, utilizing the performance system and focused improvement to support DC Operations meeting their Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and People goals.
    • Own center of excellence responsibilities for Operations Excellence Managers inside the DC's including support of hiring, onboarding, training, succession planning, goal setting and process deviation
    • As a community liaison, participate in local and community organizations and philanthropic activities; advocate for company-sponsored programs and events among associates, customers, and the local community.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelors degree in Engineering, business management, or relevant discipline (or) 5 Operational Excellence experience
    • Experienced in Operational Excellence Methodologies from Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and the Toyota Production System
    • Experienced in implementing these methodologies as new processes in manufacturing or distribution environments.
    • Experienced in developing projects utilizing the DMAIC methodology
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis
    • Experience in Value Stream Mapping

    This job is typically performed in an office or distribution center environment under usual working conditions. The work requires the ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer and telephone; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; specific vision abilities required by this job includes Close vision and Distance vision.
