    About Our Team

    • BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years, providing quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity.

    A Day in the Life of a PCT:

    As an entry-level position, you will provide basic patient care under nursing supervision, assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). You will also observe patients' progress, prepare reports for the Registered Nurse, and obtain and record vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests. Additionally, you will perform basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.

    Requirements

    • You must have completed some high school education.
    • You must obtain Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire.

    Preferred Requirements

    • A High School diploma or equivalent
    • Completion of High School PCT competencies
    • Certification as a PCT (Certified Care Technician) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)
    • Demonstrated competency in Phlebotomy
