    Description

    The Senior Billing Specialist works closely with the Billing Manager to ensure accurate, substantiated billing to clients. For this work a mastery of the billing-related modules in the firm's financial application is important, and a growing knowledge of Concur should be pursued. Also, effective communication and teamwork is required for planning, prioritizing, and delivering the work on a timely basis.

    Essential Functions

    • Set up new projects in Business Central (BC) and verify billing information
    • Assist with updating user documentation for time/expense reporting
    • Check and resolve expense reports - interface with employees
    • Participate in management of the expense checking process
    • Learn about the structure, workflow, and administration of Concur and the billing-related modules of Business Central
    • Assist with reviewing and allocating time and expense data to identify errors and enable drafting of invoices
    • Draft invoices and related reports - interface with partners and project managers
      • Maintain client billing requirements and partner billing instructions
    • Assume increasing responsibility for complex and foreign invoicing
    • Produce/send finalized invoices - interface additionally with clients
    • Track deferred revenue, subcontractor billings, foreign taxes, and other special situations
    • Assist with revenue reconciliation and other month-end activities
    • Maintain complete billing documentation
    • Assist with documentation of billing processes and activities
    • Assist other Billing Team members as needed
    Qualification Requirements
    • Excellent organization skills and has the ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Highly reliable for accurate and thorough work - strong attention to detail
    • Professional-level verbal and written communications skills
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
    • Solid spreadsheet and quantitative skills
    • Contributes to process/technology improvement efforts
    Education and Experience Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree required. Accounting or Finance preferred
    • Minimum of four years of staff accounting experience, with billing experience and orientation to billing software preferred
